606 – This artwork was created during my April art prompt challenge where I created a new artwork each day in response to a single word. The prompt for this work was ‘Flying’ which is something I regularly dream about on purpose, when I am trying to relax. I close my eyes and imagine that some part of my jumps up into the air and above everything and everyone. I follow roads and try to imagine them in detail while the wind and insects brush past me. As a child I would wake after a night of lucidly dreaming. The memories of weightless freedom and the ability to do impossible things has never left me.
